September 27, 2010 at home in Washington, D.C. watching the Bears on Monday Night Football... and former Michigan star Charles Woodson of the Packers tackling a Chicago receiver.

It is much harder to take a picture of a football game than I had predicted.

This weekend did our gym's fundraising workout, "Fight Gone Bad" on Saturday, then a sprint triathlon Sunday. Felt surprisingly good, but tired. Didn't do much physical stuff today. Start my second comp exam tomorrow!

Thought it was time for another Monday photo with glasses. Haven't seen them since Monday #10. Way too long.

Start comprehensive exams for my Ph.D. tomorrow. One of those things that seems like it should feel big, and for whatever reason, doesn't feel that big.

Although I've been able to get my hair into a little ponytail for a few weeks now, thought it was time to get a picture of it.

I've been back in D.C. for a little over a week now. In some ways I was worried about coming back to the city, but I've found being in familiar places and seeing familiar people has been good for my heart and my mind. I'm feeling more calm somehow.

September 6, 2010 back home in my room in Washington, D.C.

Kept meaning to take a photo earlier in the day, but forgot until I was home doing school-related stuff. So here I am. Unpacked and moved back in. Keep finding things I don't know what to do with, like old CDs and the key to my car that was totaled by a D.C. garbage truck last year. I can't seem to convince myself to throw these things away, but where do I put them?
