Talked a bit with Travis' roommate Frosti last night about Monday Photos and how some of the settings for photos are mundane, like the one I took tonight in the kitchen, but I like the idea of having a record of the mundane things I did, the places I spent most of my time anyway. In two years I'll love this photo even more.

Cold day. I've decided I'm not going to buy any new clothes this year. Should be easy enough. I don't buy that many clothes to begin with, and this will just mean if I decide I need something, I'll have to go to get it second-hand. I intend to avoid buying anything new unless really necessary. I have enough stuff. If anything, I want to get rid of things. Already donated a big bag of clothes, need to do another.

After a nice dinner at Manolo's. Arrived this afternoon and haven't done much yet. Visited Briga (CrossFit gym in Panama City) and got dinner. Met Carlos the Colombian gay guy staying in the girl's room at the hostel.

This was supposed to be a trip to celebrate finishing my comps, and although my defense was delayed, I did finish the exams and I'm going to celebrate it.

It is much harder to take a picture of a football game than I had predicted.

This weekend did our gym's fundraising workout, "Fight Gone Bad" on Saturday, then a sprint triathlon Sunday. Felt surprisingly good, but tired. Didn't do much physical stuff today. Start my second comp exam tomorrow!

Start comprehensive exams for my Ph.D. tomorrow. One of those things that seems like it should feel big, and for whatever reason, doesn't feel that big.
